I'd also add that, all blood money-making aside, simply HAVING a standing military is, in some way, "defending the country." But there's always going to be some fucker trying to misuse the military. The entire country is completely brainwashed to believe whatever they are told so what more can you do? "but they said it on CNN it HAS to be true!!" -shrug- I have respect for people who deserve respect not just some average joe who says "im gonna join the fucking army today and you better respect me because im fighting for your freedom!" Half the people the media say are "heros" are people who just fucking sat there and did NOTHING! Jessica Lynch for example she wasnt a fucking hero! she just sat there and waited to be rescued! What about the soldiers who risked their lives to save her, does anyone know even one of their names? Of course not. All the real heros i know are fucking dead... because they put their life on the line and they were willing to lose it for what they believed in and by god they gave all they could.. Yeah what more can i say?
